What is Vermiculite?
Vermiculite is a naturally occurring mineral that expands when heated. Unlike perlite, vermiculite holds moisture and nutrients, making it ideal for plants that need consistent hydration and feeding.
Benefits of Vermiculite
- Retains moisture – reduces watering frequency
- Holds nutrients – prevents fertiliser from washing away
- Improves aeration – keeps soil from compacting
- Sterile & pH neutral – safe for seedlings and cuttings
- Lightweight – great for container gardening
